March results
Apr 03, 2007 – 12:04PMI've had some family in town this weekend for my daughter's baptism, so I haven't been able to update as regularly as I'd like. I ended up both maintaining the profit streak and the +$10k or more per month streak another month. I was close on both going into the final week, but on Wednesday I won the $50k guaranteed on Bodog and took 4th in the $40k guaranteed on Full Tilt to put myself well over the threshold. All in all though March was still a subpar month for me. My ROI% for tournaments was around 20%, although my cash games went quite well finishing just over 5 BB/100 mostly at 5/10 both 6 max and full ring. Being out of town for Bay 101 and having family in town towards the end of the month lead to slightly lower than usual volume for March, but all in all I think I made some adjustments towards the end of the month that were good.
I had been playing 8 tables at once, something I started in February that went fairly well at first, but I think having 8 tables up was killing me once I got to the mid/late stages of a tournament when it takes more focus to play. So I cut back to primarily 6 tabling again and not only did my results improve but I felt better about my play as well. It could just be coincidence since poker is a high variance game, but I felt better about my play, so I'm going to stick with it through April.
Overall March was a below average month for me, but I finished strong and still showed a good profit, so I'm optimistic going into April.

Sorry GoDaddy I meant not google...
Thanks for the update. Good to hear that the streak lives. Six tables at once is still pretty impressive. I find that three is all that I can handle with anything approaching reasonable skill.
Easter is almost here and none too soon. I thought that online poker was a cruel mistress until I gave it up for lent. Live play, just once a week, has been quite expensive at Argosy and Harrahs here in KC.
