Last update for a few days

I'm heading to San Jose for the Bay 101 WPT event soon, so this is likely to be my last post for a few days. Tonight is typically my night off, but I may play some cash games late so I can do some recording for PXF before I leave as long as I can find a few extra minutes.

This one should be fun. I'm turning it into a bit of a 'mini-vacation' while I'm down there since I've never been to the bay area in California before.

As far as poker goes, I did win the $18k guaranteed on Full Tilt a few nights ago, which was nice to take down. Aside from that not really a whole lot going on. I've been doing fairly well the first week of March, but with the exception of the one win I've just been getting close a lot and busting around the final two tables quite a bit. That tends to sometimes happen in bunches with my style, which is to heavily take advantage of the final 2-3 tables and the 'fear' that they bring out as people get so close to big money. 95% of the time that fear allows me to pick up lots of chips towards the end of the tournament, but sometimes I go through stretches where I'm running into big hands a lot.

Overall I'm playing well, and looking forward to playing the Bay 101 event. There really aren't any preliminary events for this one, so I'll probably play one satellite or so and the main event, but that's about it. I know Card Player is covering the event, but Pocket Fives live is not covering this one, so your best bet to get decent updates on my status will be here, as I'll be trying to call into the skype phone on breaks.
